BW Mailbox Features
So what does the thing do...
- Checks multiple POP3 servers asynchronously:
- No special limit to the number of servers
- Asynchronously, what? Checks each server without regard to the status of the others. So if one server is not responding the others are still checked.
- Alerts you to the presence of new mail:
- Show alert dialog box
- Play wav sound
- Restore application main window
- Any combination of the above three
- Taskbar tray icon and hint indicate status
- Saves the UID of messages so that it knows if a message is new.
- You can select messages to be deleted from the server.
- Low Carb
- Encrypts the passwords if you choose to save them.
- Configurable:
- You can choose the status icons
- Set a time interval for auto checking
- Associate a mail application with each server for quick launching
- Anti-Spam options added in version 2.0:
- Whitelist and blacklist files, matches on sender or subject
- Alerts can be suppressed for messages not on whitelist
- Messages on blacklist can be automatically deleted
- Auto-deleted messages are archived to an mbox file
- New features for version 2.1:
